In major news for our district, the Government (NZTA) recently confirmed co-funding for detailed design and land acquisition for the Rangiora Eastern Link roadway, running directly from Rossburn's own Spark Lane to Lineside Road.
NZTA have also endorsed the business case overall, which means when shovels are put in the ground in about 18 months they have signalled their in-principle support.
It's one of the biggest infrastructure projects in the Waimakariri, and means a shorter, more direct route to Christchurch with much better traffic flow.
